The Quercy Blanc community of municipalities has a population of approximately 9,000. The villages have in common a rurality which knows how to marry harmoniously with the contemporary life. Each one has its own history and specificities, all of them can be discovered by strolling on foot, by bike, by car…
Le Boulvé is nestled in the hollow of a vast fertile basin where the earth, in turn white, ochre or red, colors the landscape and the buildings.
In the center of the village, the houses are squeezed around the Romanesque church of Saint-Pierre and Saint-Paul, which has been remodeled several times, and is itself backed by the Lalande castle, also called the Boulvé stronghold.
An interesting covered washhouse is located near the village, in the direction of Saint-Matré.
The surrounding hamlets contain some heritage elements worthy of interest. Thus, the church of Saint-Saturnin and the hamlet of Ségos are sumptuously colored with ochres and warm reds coming from the earth on which they are built.
Romanesque building reworked in the 15th century, the Sainte-Madeleine de Creyssens chapel has a particularity : it is built on the edge of a stream and a spring flows under its choir. A circuit of small hike, named “Circuit de Creyssens”, allows to discover this element of singular heritage. On this same circuit, the Theron fountain and its stone washhouse are remarkable.
