Note from the owner

We have lived in this house since June 2013. It has been designed and built according to thermal and ecological criteria, while being practical and comfortable.

Peninsula plunging into the ocean, Brittany logically stopped the migrations of Anglo-Saxon, Frankish, Celtic and Latin peoples. On these legendary lands planted with megaliths, identities have been forged and resistance has been born. Very quickly, the sea opened up to new adventures. The druids, monks and dukes were followed by merchants, privateers and fishermen.

Artists, tailors, embroiderers, storytellers … draw from sources of inspiration that go well beyond the headdress and the biniou. Sung by an imaginary language, illuminated by changing skies, colored by brooms and the richness of costumes, greedy for discovery, Brittany is a great creator. In music, literature, painting, his unique personality shows a great vitality to be shared during many events.

Covered with slate, nestled in granite, festooned with lichen, the traditional house has a typical face. Not far away, a chapel protects it. In the cities, it is the half-timbered houses that bring history to life, often under the shelter of ramparts. The solidity of the fortifications is found in the lighthouses and dikes which are revived with their heritage sailboats. So many places to “crunch”!

Spectacular seascapes, intimate bays between welcoming valleys, bewitching moors dominating the bocage, vast dunes with sensual lines… nature changes at every turn. It intertwines land and sea, virgin spaces and human activities, infinity and softness. The Breton soul is reflected in its contrasts. This wealth, which feeds the imagination and the local dynamism, is carefully protected.
