At the end of a forest of oaks and pines, built in height on a plateau of altitude, Mons suddenly offers itself to the admiring eyes.
This beautiful village of Provence still stands proudly on its rocky outcrop, on which one can still see the remains of the enclosure and the remains of the feudal castle (at least the base of a tower).
Far from the crowd, the noise and the pollution, Mons is a haven of peace and fresh air. It is very pleasant to walk through the picturesque streets and to admire the sturdy old stone houses, some of which still have medieval traces.
The entire village is attractive, well maintained and largely restored, as evidenced by the number of inhabitants, which has been increasing steadily since the 1960s.
In summer, the terraces of the Place Saint Sébastien, refreshed by their beautiful fountains, come alive.
